2012 OLYMPIC FASHIONISTA

The buzz is all about London this summer for the 2012 Olympics, but our focus has to be on the Global fashion face-off with over 200 Nations marching in the Nations Parade for the Opening ceremony last Friday. It was an international fashion show, merging different cultures and styles. Some countries opted for the plain and simple "flight attendant" look while others went for more traditional - bold and loud - attire. I'm sure we all had our personal favorites, however, the countries that stood out to me were San Marino, Netherlands, Brazil, Belgium, Republic of Korea, and of course, Italy whose Olympians were dressed by Giorgio Armani. Some other big designers were Ralph Lauren for U.S.A, who was harshly criticised for manufacturing the country's team uniforms in China, Stella McCartney for the U.K., and Hermes for France. The others were pretty much predictable, including South Africa.

Here are a few ideas on how to show your love and support for your home team in style.
